Application

1. Polymer Fabrication

As a polyacrylonitrile polymer spinning solvent, it is widely used.

2. Extraction solvent

It exhibits excellent solubility for aromatic compounds, unsaturated hydrocarbons and sulfur compounds.

3. Solvents and raw materials for pesticides

Pesticides that are difficult to dissolve in other solvents are easily soluble in DMSO, which increases the effect of pesticides.

4. Solvents for dyes and pigments

Using DMSO as a solvent for dyes and pigments can improve stability. The dyeing amount of organic pigments will be improved by adding DMSO.

5. Stripping agent

DMSO can be used as a stripper, and if DMSO is added to the paint stripper, the effect can be improved. DMSO is particularly effective in the removal of epoxy coatings.

  6. Rust inhibitor

Used as a solvent for certain rust inhibitors. DMSO itself can also inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
